How do you find light in darkness? An intriguing question for sure. Yet, the answer that comes back is, that in order for light to be found in darkness, it must first shine. There was no light at the beginning of earth's existence; but according to the scriptural narrative, God spoke light into existence (Genesis 1:2-3).
Paul said that God "commanded the light to shine out of darkness" (2 Corinthians 4:6 KJV). We are told to let our light shine (Matthew 5:16), but we must first have the light in order to share it. Jesus said: "I am the light of the world" (John 8:12 KJV). Jesus is depicted by the Apostle John as "knocking at the door" (Revelation 3:20 ), waiting to be let in. When we open the door to our darkness, the Light comes in and darkness flees! So, how do find light in darkness? By opening the door to Jesus!
